Elias Kamel Assaf (w∴m∴ 1997-1998)

Elias Kamel Assaf was born on January 5, 1957 in Jezzine, Lebanon, and was educated in the public school system of that country. After school he attended Lebanese University and graduated with a Masters in Business Administration. He came to the United States in 1983. After coming to the US, he spent several years working with the US Chamber of Commerce. He is currently investing in business.

He is divorced and has one child, a daughter.

Brother Assaf received the degrees of Freemasonry from Jacques DeMolay Lodge No. 1390 in Houston, Texas. He was initiated as an Entered Apprentice Mason on June 6, 1987; passed to the degree of Fellowcraft on July 30, 1987; and was raised to the sublime degree of a Master Mason on August 27, 1987. He served as the thirty-eight Worshipful Master of the Lodge during the 1997-1998 masonic year.

Brother Assaf is a member of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, having received the degrees from the Houston bodies September 23, 1995.

Brother Assaf is deeply involved in his church, Maronite Eastern Catholic.
