Frederick Charles Domrese was born on December 12, 1903 in St. Louis, Missouri. He attended the public school system of the city, graduating from Cleveland High School in 1922. Afterwards he attended Washington University in St. Louis. During World War II, he served in the United States Army, attaining the rank of Sergeant. After his discharge in 1943, he moved to Houston. He was the owner of Domrese Rentals and Repairs, a company specializing in heavy equipment.

He was married.

Brother Domrese received the degrees in Freemasonry from Cade-Rothwell Lodge No. 1151. He was initiated as an Entered Apprentice Mason on December 19, 1945; passed to the degree of Fellowcraft on December 8, 1948; and raised to the sublime degree of a Master Mason on January 35, 1949. He affiliated with Jacques DeMolay Lodge No. 1390 as a dual member in 1960, and served as its eleventh Worshipful Master from 1970-1971. He would later serve two terms as Treasurer, from 1972-1974.

Brother Domrese was a member of the Chapter, Council, and Commandery of the York Rite, and also was a member of the Shrine.

Brother Domrese was a member of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, having received the degrees from the Houston bodies in October 1952. He was a member of both the Twenty-first and Thirty-second Degree teams. He served as Wise Master of Houston Chapter of Knights Rose Croix in 1961, Venerable Master of San Jacinto Lodge of Perfection in 1964, Master of Kadosh of Houston Consistory in 1966, and Commander of Houston Council of Knights Kadosh in 1975. For his service and devotion to the Rite, he was invested with the rank and decoration of a Knight Commander of the Court of Honour in 1961, and coroneted an Inspector General Honorary of the Thirty-third Degree in 1965.

Brother Domrese passed away on September 1, 1976 at the age of seventy-two. He was laid to rest in the Woodlawn Garden of Memories Cemetery in Houston, Texas. Masonic graveside services were performed under the auspices of Jacques DeMolay Lodge No. 1390.
