Robert Lewis “Bob” Reddy, Jr. was born on January 1, 1933 in Lafayette, Louisiana. He moved to Houston in 1937 and was educated in the public school system of the city. After graduation, he attended the University of Houston. During 1952 he served in the United States Coast Guard. After he was discharged, he was employed with Sebastian Corporation. He was later employed by Hazard Assessment Leaders, which was owned by his wife, Helen.

He was married.

Brother Reddy received the degrees of Freemasonry from Holland Lodge No. 1 in Houston, Texas. He was initiated as an Entered Apprentice Mason on February 13, 1956; passed to the degree of Fellowcraft on May 30, 1956 and raised to the sublime degree of a Master Mason on August 1, 1956. He affiliated with Jacques DeMolay Lodge on July 14, 1994. He served as the fortieth Worshipful Master of the Lodge during the 1999-2000 masonic year.

Brother Reddy was a member of Arabia Temple Shrine, where he belonged to the Patrol unit. He was also a member of Court No. 136 of the Royal Order of Jesters.

Brother Reddy was a member of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, having received the degrees from the Houston bodies in October 1956. At the time of his death, he was serving as the Information Systems Director as well as the Almoner for all four bodies. For his service and devotion to the Rite, he was invested with the rank and decoration of a Knight Commander of the Court of Honor in 1989, and coroneted an Inspector General Honorary of the Thirty-third Degree in 1995.

Brother Reddy passed away on March 2, 2001 at the age of sixty-eight. He was laid to rest at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery. Masonic graveside services were performed under the auspices of Jacques DeMolay Lodge No. 1390.
