Beverly Bryan Moore was born on March 10, 1901 in Washington, North Carolina. He was a dental technician by trade, and was the owner of the Moore Dental Laboratory.

He was married, and had one son.

Brother Moore received the degrees in Freemasonry from Ideal Lodge No. 362, in New Orleans, Louisiana. He was initiated as an Entered Apprentice Mason on January 8, 1926; passed to the degree of Fellowcraft on January 22, 1926; and raised to the sublime degree of a Master Mason on February 12, 1926. Upon moving to Houston, he affiliated with East Gate Lodge No. 1153. He was one of Brother Robert Byers principal comrade-in-arms in the struggle to form Jacques DeMolay Lodge, and served as its second Worshipful Master for the 1960-1961 term. Five years later, he was elected to the office of Treasurer, and served the Lodge in that capacity until 1969. He later affiliated with J. W. Chandler Lodge as a charter member.

Brother Moore was a member of the Chapter, Council, and Commandery of the York Rite, and served as Eminent Commander of Houston Commandery No. 95 in 1951.

He was a charter member of San Jacinto Conclave No. 93 of the Red Cross of Constantine, and served as its Sovereign in 1962.

He was a charter member of Chinar Grotto of the Mystic Order of Veiled Prophets of the Enchanted Realm, and served as Monarch of that body in 1943. Fourteen years later, in 1957, he presided over the Grottoes of North America as Grand Monarch.

He was also a member of the Shrine, and the Royal Order of Scotland.

Brother Moore was a member of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, having received the degrees from the Houston bodies in October 1943. He served as Master of Kadosh of Houston Consistory in 1956, and as Wise Master of Houston Chapter of Knights Rose Croix in 1969. For his service and devotion to the Rite, he was invested with the rank and decoration of a Knight Commander of the Court of Honour in 1949, and coroneted an Inspector General Honorary of the Thirty-third Degree in 1957.

Brother Moore passed away on July 4, 1991 at the age of ninety. He was laid to rest in Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery in Houston, Texas. Masonic graveside services were performed under the auspices of J. W. Chandler Lodge No. 1452.
